AROUND LAKE ZELLER SEE

On mostly flat a family friendly cycle path around Lake Zell you can admire magnificent views of the surrounding, partly snow-covered peaks of High Tauern Mountains and the beauty of soft green pastures and the lake bathed in sunlight.

GROSSGLOCKNER HIGH ALPINE ROAD

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road with its 48 kilometres and 36 bends is said to be one of the most panoramic routes of the world. It leads through the heart of Hohe Tauern National Park, towards the highest peak in Austria, the Grossglockner 3798 m a.s.l and its glacier the Pasterze. Beside a spectacular mountain view, mother nature lets you observe marmots and with a bit of luck maybe even an ibex will be close. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October.

A TRIP TO KRIMML

Krimml is one of the most magnificent waterfalls in Europe, with water tumbling some 400m in three large cataracts. Time spent in the spray mist coming off the Krimml Waterfalls has a positive and lasting effect on our health. You will ride comfortably to this unique natural wonders passing towns like Kaprun or Mittersill. You can return to Zell am See by using the Pinzgaubahn railway.

MOUNTAIN PASTURE PONYHOFALM

The mountain pasture Ponyhofalm is open only in summer. It is a favourite destination for hikers and bikers, who would like to see the panoramic view from this mountain pasture and spend some time the nature.

THE SULZBACHTAL VALLEY

The Sulzbachtal valley is a true oasis of relaxation. The path leads parallel to three mountain peaks called drei Brüder (Three Bothers), which are Schafelkopf, 2 264 m a.s.l., Breitkopf, 2 251 m a.s.l. and Achenkopf, 2 260 m a.s.l. It shows you how beautiful the Pinzgau valleys are.
